Planet earth is the home to every living thing we know. Earth has been our only home for centuries but how old is it really. How did it come into existence and what is it made of?
4.6 billion years ago earth was created from the remnants of dead stars that collided in a giant dirty gas cloud. The cloud became denser in its centre and formed an accretion disk.
Small particles began to start clumping together and got bigger and bigger are now what we call planets today.
This process took 10 to 20 million years and is still not understood well.
Around that time when the solar systm was just formed and was a bit chaotic, a object around as big as mars collided with our home, planet earth….
